Project Requested By: Travis Wiley – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Principle Investigator: Eric Green
In order to prepare an Environmental Assessment for a proposed marina expansion on Lake Cumberland, I would like to obtain any road safety data, including a safety rating for SR 76 (from it’s junction with KY910 until it ends at Russell County Park, former site of Alligator I Marina) and any associated safety or accident data. I would like the same information for KY 1383 from it’s junction with KY 76 until it terminates at Lake Cumberland Marina.
Project Write-up & Data Provided
RT_UNIQUE:104-KY-0076 -000 from 0 to 5.808 (no intersection crashes)
An EEC of -8.3 and CI of +/-5.2 yields an EEC between -13 to -3. Either way this segment is very safe compared to similar routes in the state.
Crash types seem consistent with similar roads.
RT_UNIQUE:104-KY-1383 -000 from 0 to 2.133 StampIDs=0 (no intersection crashes)
An EEC of -3.2 and CI of +/-2 yields an EEC between -5 to -1. Either way this segment is very safe compared to similar routes in the state.
The single crash was a parking lot crash.
