Initial Inquiry

The following items were requested:
• Map showing locations of pedestrian crashes at uncontrolled locations for past 3 to 5 years
• Map showing locations of all pedestrian crashes for past 3 to 5 years
• Summary of pedestrian crashes by typology (classification) for past 3 to 5 years
• Summary of pedestrian crashes related to roadway characteristics: Speed; Number of Lanes; ADT, for past 3 to 5 years

Project Write-up & Data Provided

I wrote a series of custom SQL queries to compile the applicable crash data. I summarized the crash data and created the requested tables and maps. I sent the aggregated pedestrian crash data and maps to Mr. Ridgway along with some of the underlying GIS intersection data used in the analysis.
